„La Llanura is the debut EP of Jacobo Polania aka Mente Orgánica - a young genius producer from Bogotá, Colombia. He founded his project in 2017 with the vision of „creating a ritual of introspection and union with the universe.“ His productions alchemize organic sounds with electronic elements to take the listener on a deep reflective journey within.
The EP features soothing Downtempo tracks -3 original productions and 3 remixes - inviting to an intimite,comtemplative and emotional listening / dancing experience.
With „Icaro“ we begin our journey right in the jungle. Grounded by the sounds of nature we can open up to the healing and cleansing vibration of the shipibo singing allowing us to open our hearts and to connect with our higher aspects. Epic synth pads, a slow earthy groove with a driving bassline and an enchanting charango arpeggio guide us to travel beyond.
With „Interno Eterno“ we are invited to dive deeper into the realm of our conciousness exploring the vastness and the infinite potential of our inner and outer universe. Jacobos voice meanders on top of spacy ambient synths and mesmerizing drone pads supported by an unexcited cumbia beat.
„La Llanura“ brings us back into our bodies and into the present moment. The track was inspired by a quote from Jorge Luis Borges who says that music is untranslatable but still we all understand and feel it. The beautiful voice of Lapola Kalu is accompanied by an acoustic guitar and aethereal flutes played on top of a laid back groove.
To not let the journey end here we gathered 3 members of the “NUMA-Tribe” - Derrok from Chile, Di Laif from Guatemala and Sidirum from Argentina - to rework and share their unique perspectives on “La Llanura”.
